red devil companions

I have finally found a companion fish for my red devil. belive or not 2
jewel cichlids. I just made several hiding places for them and now they
even swin in the open with him, that is keeping an eye out for him. Most of
the time he ignors them. :)
I think I have 2 male jewels as they turn a nice redish purple and argue
nose to nose.
My tank is a self built 60 gallon us. 49 x 16 x 16 . made it that size
since a 4 ft light tube fits perfect. It also has a built it sump with
wet/dry filter.
The jewels are a fast fish and can easily escape the big red devil. jewels
3" , devil 7.5 " .

normally in that size tank the devils would kill anything however they do
have to catch it first.

Someone told me i may also be able to keep oscars with
mine, as long as they are significantly bigger.
