I have a pair of Oscars about 6 inches long (so far!) in a 125g tank that
are for all observations healthy and typical. The other day I came down and
found that one had ripped the pectoral fin of the other clean off - nothing
left. I've kept Oscars for a while so I'm used to damage but I've never seen
a fin completely removed before. The question is do you think it will grow
back or is it gone for good? I've seen serious damage done to fins and they
always grow back, but this Oscar looks as if the fin was never there.

I have a female betta that lost her pectoral fin during breeding. Its been
about 2 months now, and theres still no sign of regrowth. She still stands
her ground against the other girls and doesn't seem to be affected much by
it as of yet.
