need answer

[Amyotte]

hello all,

my Red Hump Geophagus is pregnant again. a friend and I replaced my gravel
with sand, we washed it thoroughly but there still is some dust in the
aquarium. What I was wondering about is since the eggs are in the female
geo's mouth, will the dust from the sand hurt the eggs in anyway, I was
thinking that the dust would settle on the eggs, but since she is a mouth
breeder, she is always moving the eggs around..

I don't think the dust will be a problem, in fact it might help stop the
eggs from fungusing (is that a word) :)
I've never seen a red hump geophagus, I would like to see a picture if you
have one? Good luck with your new babies.

thanks for the help, I did not think so either, better to have a second
opinion

here's my website with picture of my geo's it also has pictures of all my
other cichlids as well

just go into Shawn's aquariums and then click on 35 gallon, and then click
on a cichlid to view pictures and info

FYI, as you may have already learned.. Free websites limit your bandwidth...
For that reason, you should find ways to reduce the file size of your
pictures on your site, so that when 12 ppl go look at 1 or 2 pics you have,
they don't use up all your daily allocated bandwidth, thus, shutting your
site down temporarily as it's done for me now...

www.register.com will set you up for only $80 for 3 or so years.... with
your own www.amyotte.com site and no limit on your bandwidth....

Personal sites are great, until you become somewhat popular and have more of
a need for higher bandwidth....

again, just an FYI, and a small pout... cuz I won't get to see your
pics..... and now I'm sad.... ':-(
