Pair of Jewels in this tank?

I posted earlier about possibilities for my 20L. Well, it's just about
done cycling and it's time for fish. pH is around 7.3 (right outta the
tap). I think I'd like to go w. a pair of Jewels (as posted in the
other thread, thanks Amateur). This tank look ok for them?

your hiding spots, may be just roofs, what about putting a rock against the
back of the right hand side stack of rocks, to make a 'hole' or a one way
entrance... that gives some extra security for the pair to 'breed' in, as
far as I've seen/read...

btw, the tank looks great.... those are fake decors, right? they look really
nice...

yep, them are fake decors :) Thanks.. I'll make that back right side more
cave like for them.

Hey Rich

Just a thought, I kinow from experience that Jewels are EXTREMELY violent.
Instead of getting a pair get 3. So one of them can act as a "target fish".
I guarantee that your Jewels will breed within a month of their new home! If
the female is not ready yet he will literally beat her to death, a target
fish will help distribute the aggression and to tighten the bond between the
brooding couple.

Looks good, but you need more hiding places. get more rock to make caves.
one of them will chase the other and kill it if they cant hide. I have 2 of
em in a 60 gallon with a 7.5 inch red devil. he tries to get em but they
are smart and fast and have many hiding spots. Enjoy. jim
