Before I posted that th emale injured the female, and the fish whas cuts
and fungus. Netmax sugested to look att he tank and any objects that
might have be apart of it.
Netmax was right.
First I made a mistake, the injured fish was the male not the female who
did die 3 days later. It looks as if he was tunneling under heavey root
wood and it fell on him <the poor guy>
I was treating him and some of the wounds looked better, but I think the
head wound was to far gone.
I waited a few days and I thought the female would not come out of her
cave because she was lost without him. she was in a 37 high tank, I
picked her rock cave out and quickly tranfered her to her to a smaller
heavly planted tank with no other fish. I felt sorry for her being alone
and last night I was watching the tank and thats when I saw all the fry
come out of the cave. At least she is not alone.
Thanks Netmax for the tip.
