In regards the "exploding" thread "On Sunday" which is being
crossposted:

D.S.Kabawhatever is clearly a troll, probably a 12 year old who
doesn't have his Daddy's permission to use the ol' computer. His
involvement in RAFC is entirely limited to this single thread and he
is not, nor has he ever been, an active (or even passive) participant
in rec.aquaria.freshwater.cichlids. The best thing to do is simply
ignore his posts or give him the *PLONK*; experience shows that people
like this soon bore themselves and move on to other activities, like
playing with blocks or toy soldiers.

We can't control the crossposting, so this thread will probably
continue to appear in RAFC until it finally dies out; but for the
regulars here in rec.aquaria.freshwater.cichlids I would suggest that
we no longer contribute. It's kind of a dead-end. I think RedForeman's
initial post was appropriate, because we are a community, and it is
appropriate to respond. Our posting FAQs recognize that these types of
exchanges are not OT. However, my suggestion is that we no longer post
to this thread and allow it to peter out.

Take care, all ----

Mark, I've tried to intercept every message and strip the aquaria groups out
of them...

I accept full responsibility, it is/was my fault for cross posting to the
groups in the first place, and that burden lies solely on my shoulders,
thus, I am/have/will formally apologize to everyone....

Folks, I am in the process of chasing down that thread and stripping it,
luckily I'm not subscribed to more than 5 or 6 groups.... haha, trying to
find humor somewhere....

"Crossposting" a message like your original post is quite acceptable,
but there's a different way to do it that doesn't allow the
"explosion" of responses and crossposts that took place here; and that
is to simply send out the message a group at a time, several times,
rather than all the groups at once. (Believe me, this was a lesson
hard learned!) That way, if a doofus like Kabadork responds then it is
limited to the single group that he terrorizes.

I sympathize, and understand that you could use a laugh after all this.

No need to appologise.

If you are out for a family drive and you get involved in a traffic accident
with an insanely dangerous driver, you don't normally appologise to all the
by-standers.

it seems as though there's alot of carnage though, and even if not at fault,
I still feel bad, because of someone's dementia, I got caught up in.....
