Can anyone suggest a good source for LR in Canada ? Preferably in Sask.
Petcetera has started to carry Fiji LR but at $7.99/lb , I find is very
expensive.

$7.99 for fiji...... buy it.... Its $9.99 here in Ontario
or make your own for arond 6 cents a lb

Make your own at .06 / lb ? How do you pull that off ?

I'm sure it takes lots of time for it to grow from being seeded but I'm
interested in the base rock at .06/lb Do tell! =)

90lb bag $7. Portland type II/III cement (5 cups) Crushed oyster shell
55 lb bag $4 (can buy at local feed store used for chicken feed
additive) 25 cups. Water 6 cups. Mix and mix you dont want it to dry
but not to wet either. Sand bed in a tub make a mold/ fill it poke
holes ect. have fun with it. cover it let dry for 2 days. Lift out of
sand mold and place in freash water tub for about 6-8 weeks wter
changes weekly. once PH is below 7.2 change out fresh for sal****er
from water changes. Once the rock is stable below 7.2 its good to go.
