Red, remember the electric blue's you have that are changing colors? (I
thank that was you..) Guess what, mine are too. One is turning yellow,
looks very healthy, the other is a bit smaller, but he's changing too.

I couldn't find the earlier thread about this, so is this a problem or a
Petsmart "uhoh"..?

BINGO! Thanks Red. Seems I have a male and a female. One is turning more
yellow than orange, the other is still blue when I adjust the light the way
from the side of the tank.

Hey Bob, the female Kenyi is not going to stay the nice blue/purple whe she
matures after a brood or two.. She is going to get a beige tinge to her..
They look really nice as juvi's. The male gets super dominant, and he is the
most aggressive fish in my Mbuna tanks.. If you lived in my area Bob, I
will have a few of these for sale in a few coming monthes.. Probably for
about $3 a piece, and there will be about 40 or so to choose from...

Hi Tim and thanks for the heads up. I'm in west Texas, so not sure how
close you really are. I'm working on getting a 75 gallon tank for my 3
Midas (Red Devils... and they are little devils) then I should have room for
a couple more Blues, or Kenyi's, or whatever (still having a head rush from
id'ing the little buggers this morning. I'm noticing at this time the
apparent growth spurt the male has taken ove the past 2 weeks, and the
apparent female is just her sweet eat-out-of-my-hand self. I'm sitting here
watching her watching me while I type. She's the first one to the feeding
trough, brave enough to belly herself into the Midas' and right up to my
hand. I'll keep everybody posted on what's going on. I'm just not sure I
have the right breeding environment yet until I get the Midas' moved to the
big tank.
