I have recently opened an aquarium supply store at www.whalesale.com and I
am seeking your opinions.
Please let me know what you think on the setup of the store, prices, the
products currently carried, and what products I should add to the store
Please post your opinions on this newsgroup

Here are some suggestions that I will list as I go through the site...
In the interest of time, I will be blunt. Please don't take it as if I'm
insulting you.
First, I think you should make the "Store Home" button larger and more
centralized. I had to look for it for a while and if you want people to
shop there, that button should be jumping out at them.
The heaters page has errors on it regarding the prices.
Overall, your prices appear to be good. I don't know how others feel about
Hagen but I have always considered them more of a generic brand.
I've always trusted Aquarium Pharmaceuticals for test kits and Marineland
for heaters.
The page itself also has more of a generic feel. I would recommend
something besides a white background. Plus, a lot of your category buttons
can't hold all of the text which makes it look less professional.
As far as product lines go, I think if you could offer the New Life Spectrum
line of food it should do you some good.
Also, do you have interests of carrying SW supplies? Lights? Equipment?

Mike,
It has a good general feel to it. The prices are reasonable. I would
change the background and increase the text size a bit.
Web sites are a full time work in progress so don't get discouraged.
Good luck,
Aquacare
