I have been running my tank now for about a month and I noticed today that
there is some green algae forming a little bit on some of the rock on the
bottom but also quite a bit of brown algae too. I did a partial water change
the other day and there was only a little but it seems to have spread
quickly over the past two days. Is this something I need to be concerned
about? Or do I just need some sort of algae eating fish and if so what type
is good in a community tank??
thanks Kelly
brown seems to be first to show up, green needs pretty good light. there are no
algae eating fish that are compatible with goldfish. algae on back walls and bottom
makes tank inherently healthier and more stable. Ingrid

I have a Snail and it keeps my tank very healthy i think it eats what ever
is down on the bottom of the tank around the rocks he loves the algea but
you have to watch what kind of snails you get some breed like crazy
