You are aware of NCPARS right? I'm sure there's a club in Philly as well.
Seems bit of an over kill to have that many clubs in the same general area.
Especially in PA...

Hmmm.... I live in NEPA and would not even consider driving all the
way down to Philly for a meeting...

I have not heard of NCPARS... do you have any contact information for
them? Where are they located?

The closest clubs I can find are in either NJ or NY which is too long
a drive for me. I already have to put close to 3k miles per month on
my vehicle... so a long drive for a few hours of meetings is not an
option... however, having one so close, down in Wilkes-Barre sounds
like a cool deal. I know I will be going at least to the first few
meetings just to see what is going on etc...

Jon,

You are aware of NCPARS right?

Yes, but Philly is a long way to drive for meetings. That's why we chose to
have one in Wilkes-Barre. We can pull from many neighboring areas and people
only have to drive less than an hour. We have received some really good
people who are interested, so we are trying.

I envy you guys up there. I'm down here in South Central
PA and lfs' are hard enough to come by much less enough
people to warrant a group...

Thanks for the link Jon...

It looks like NCPARS is about 2.5 hours from where I live... way too
long a drive, especially if I wanted to swap or purchase live fish
etc... also seems like this is a Salt only club. Too bad. I am much
more interested in Freshwater and Planted tanks. Salt is just too
expensive for my wallet.
