Any suggestions? I could go anywhere from MA to VA, since I make regular
trips to VA.
I got a bunch of males from my local fish shop, but his supplier will not
sell the females :( . I would like to get a few females so I can set up a
breeding colony in my community tank.
I'm a little nervous about getting them shipped because I tend to work some
funny hours. I'd hate to think of a bunch of fish left sitting on my
doorstep all day in the snow or sunshine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have them but unfortunately I won't be of any help as I'm in Canada. What
else do you have in your community tank, not guppies I hope. I got a nice
strain of Endlers from another Canadian source that had been kept pure. Hate
it when I see them with Guppies.

I almost made that mistake. I originally got them knowing nothing at all
about them except they are really pretty. I've been reading up on them
since then, and I'm realy glad I didn't get those guppies I was eye-balling
at the same time.
I have a 55 G (208 l) planted tank with the folowing:
2 dwarf gouramis
8 brilliant rasboras
2 whiptail catfish
3 kuhli loaches
4 oto cats
7 male endlers

AquariumCenter.com is just outside of Baltimore. I was there today,
and they had some... didn't take the time to see if they had both
genders.
The Jan and Feb issues of Tropical Fish Hobbist magazine had articles
about Endlers, with suggestions... Jan had an interesting article
about a small tank set up, and the March issue is dedicated to
liverbearers.
Both recomended checking the boards on http://livebearers.org/ , the
home of The American Livebearer Association, as well as checking with
local aquarium societies. I've seen them on Aquabid.com as well.
Good luck....

You might want to try "Animal Jungle" on Independence Boulevard in Virginia
Beach. They have a large selection of fish and their tanks are clean and
well maintained. I used to buy all my fish there, I had 7 tanks at one time,
and never got bad/infected fish from them. Unfortunately I can't buy there
any more as I moved to New Hampshire back in 2001.

Don't know if you found any yet or not, but if you're really looking to go
a little out of your way, Jungle Creek in State College, PA (home of Penn
State) sells them as pairs (at least they were last time I was there, a
week or so ago).
