Ugh. Went to the main page (www.aquabotanic.com) looking for any photos
from prior contests, and the damn thing plays LOUD and ANNOYING music
at me.

Web sites that make noise are a cardinal sin.

Sorry! I didn't design/choose the music for the site. I'm just a moderator
on the forum.

Here is a link to last year's entries. Enjoy!:

Anyone entering?

Ah, thank you. Having see the pictures from last year, no, I'm not
entering. Much as I'd like to win the prize, there is no way I can hope
to compete with the gorgeous entries shown!

Its not all about winning Eric! It is the fun of sharing pictures of
YOUR baby with the world! Last year I got over 12 pictures from the
contest published in FAMA magazine! And only 3 of the 12 were the
winners.

Sorry you do not like guitar blues music. I have had several people
ask me who the performer is because they like it so much! To each
their own. You are still welcome to join the contest and the forums!

Best regards

For the rare photos I consider high enough quality to show, I have my
own web page. That pretty much takes care of my occasional need to be
noticed and show off :)

Don't get me wrong - I do think it's great that you're offering people
a high-profile opportunity to show off their beautiful tanks, and a
nice prize to boot.

Oh, I like it fine. Heck, I used to be a musician myself (acoustic
guitar folk). I just hate when non-music oriented web sites force me to
listen to music.

I'm not alone in this opinion (a rarity for me). Do a Google search on
the words "web" "bad design" and "music". Of course, it's your site, to
do with as you like, and I certainly wouldn't think to dictate to you
what to include. But seriously, do the Google search and read some of
the arguments - you may be hurting the popularity of your site by using
music.
