Is the reason you say on or near canada, because of the import
restrictions?? I've heard there were some, not sure it they're applicable or
not... not sure what I remember...

I'll be having some Ludwigia Repens and Java Fern in a month or two... and
even a few Anubias, nana and barteri... I'm hoping to locate some Red
Crypts soon...

Yeap that's the main reason
my LFS has trouble getting anything other than the basics, if they can
get any exotics it costs an arm and a leg

shipping is another reason

I have a couple crypto sp. but am not familiar with 'red crypt' - do
you know the scientific name?

What chunk of the globe are you located on?

At the moment I don't know
I would like a highlight/specimen plant roughly 5-7" average height
but haven't decided yet - time will decide for me

I posted the question because I am tired of throwing out my clipping
they are a bit small or overly mature for the LFS to take or buy, but
just the right for someone with patience to nuture or propagate.

I am in the process of doing a complete make-over on one of my planted
tanks (14" pleco - and growing - in a 40G custom tank - I think that
gives reason enough to redo a planted tank) New substrate new mopani the
whole bit, so I'm looking to do things abit differently this time. Which
required me to destroy/donate a large number of beautiful plants. I do
not want to go through that again.

Not all of these are from the same tank, but I am unable to store them
in my other tanks while redoing the display tank.

--Recent additions to the compost pile include
Rotala rotundifolia
Nuphar japonica
Myriophyllum tuberculatum
Microsorium pteropus 'windelov'
Microsorium pteropus 'red'
Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae
Echinodorus schlueteri - wish I had found a way to keep this one for my
new set-up - absolutely gorgeous
Cryptocoryne albida

--Recent donations to friends tanks
Nymphaea stellata
Microsorium pteropus 'windelov'
Microsorium pteropus 'red'
Glossostigma elantinoides - I really loved this one and he'll probably
kill it
