Anyone recommend (or not) Cal pumps

Hi,

I'm thinking of ordering a Cal pump. The price seems right, but then I
wonder about the quality. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about
them? I'm looking for a submerged 1200+ gph pump. If anyone has suggestions
that won't trash my bank account, I'd be happy to listen.
