I'm glad you like it. I agree about the pearlscales! I think some of
those ranchus look enormous, like football size. And I'd be sure to
make every effort to come home with some red cap orandas, and red &
white ryukins, if I ever visit there. (My wife and I plan to visit
there sometime.)

I'm planning to visit in December. What's the best way to transport the
fish back to California?

I know this is the wrong place to ask, but maybe one of you can help.
I'm trying to save these JPG's of these goldfish. When I rightclick on the
pic and
select "save picture as" it only allows me to save it as a bitmap .BMP, in
the past
i was able to select the save as type to .bmp or .jpg, I can no longer
select jpg.
However if I right click and "Email Picture" I get the JPEG file attached to
an email
and I can copy it from there. Any idea how I can save picture as .jpg
instead of bitmap?
Thank you in advance.

Rodney,

I don't know for sure. I've heard of some people taking fish on the
plane with them, and others sending them via air in a separate plane,
for someone to pick up at the airport with them.

The part I'm trying to get more info. on is the customs and
inspections issues. I'm hoping to visit Hong Kong, myself. And
probably Japan, China and other areas that have great goldfish. I've
emailed some embassies for info. No response yet.

make sure you readup on some of the sites about fish keeping before buying
any! :- ) If I've misread the situation and am abusing netiquette, I
apologise in advance!

mine is http://fish.neobard.info/ (some of the links are worth reading -
especially "my experience")

(Ingrid's site)
