Hey Ladybug!

Just wondering what you think about the quality of their fish there as I
have not had that good of aexperiences there in the past.
Nothing I bought there ever lasts and I have some fish in my tank(mainly a
purple tage and 2 true percs) that have been in there for 4 years now and I
can't seem to get their fish to last more than 3 to 6 months. Just
wondering?

Thanks

I'm no expert either! Been in the reef for about 5 years now and my
parameters are all ok.... Like I said I have some fish in my tank for about
4+ years but the ones I bought at aqua tropical never lasted. Maybe just a
bad batch. Thanks for the offer to help though and if i ever need I will
email.

I am going to have to agree with Victor on this one. Although my tank
is fresh water, nothing from there ever seems to last. And the quality
doesn't look great. I will agree they have the cheapest prices, and i
also know why. I spoke to the owner last time i was there, and they
have low prices because they offer NO guaranty one life fish. The last
time i was there, they had no less than 4 tanks infected with Ick. One
was a loach tank ( about 30 1" clown loaches ). 8 were dead, and most
of the others were covered in spots.

I have yet to return to that or any other Aqua Tropical ( there is one
in Brossard, I am from the south shore ), because i saw similar looking
tanks there as well.

Another thing, some of the staff were competant, but the guy who served
me couldn't tell the difference between a Krib, and another cichild (
don't remember exactly what was in the tank, but he ask me whick was the
kribs ).

Tim
P.S. if you want, i can give you a list of stores around the south shore
region where i have had good experiences.
