Hi, I have 4 goldfishes. One of them is having a white cottony deposit
on its fin. What is that and how do I treat it?
Thanks,
Sonal.

most likely columnaris. you need potassium permanganate (permoxyn)
http://users.megapathdsl.net/~solo/puregold/disease/disease.htm
or a good antibiotic since it is bacterial.

goto www.thekrib.com - it may give you more information.
I'd say it was a fungus of some sort, or even Columnaris.
Do a websearch on these and see if it is the same as
what your fish has.
