I heard of some algae suckers that will live with
Goldfish happily called something like
Borea Suckers (or something like that) can anyone
give me an idea of the correct name?

Any thoughts on a Gara Pingi Pingi?

They are not a sucker mouth catfish and seem to like compatable
conditions to the goldies. Even seem to have similar growth paterns
(ususally smallish, but can grow to 11 or 12 inches in the right
conditions).

However, they are NOT a "pretty" fish.

do a search of the records and you will find many, many people who had "no problemo"
plecos that suddenly were found chasing and sucking on their GF, or GF with mystery
infected round circles. It is rare and unusual that any specific pleco will not
attack GF over its lifetime.
Like most things in nature, there are always exceptions. Some people can keep a GF
in a 1 gallon bowl. But we dont make generalized recommendations from the
exceptions. We dont recommend people use GF bowls for GF. We dont recommend plecos
for GF tanks either. Ingrid
