My sister has a tank that contains a plecostomus. She has had him for a
very long time and does not want to get rid of him. She would however like
to add a couple of fancy goldfish for her young son to enjoy. Will this
combination work??? Thanks.

how big is the tank?
if the pleco doesnt have enough food he will suck the slimecoat off the
goldfish so beware.
remember its one goldfish per 10 gallons
plecos and goldfish are like the messiest fish so she will be having to do
alot of maintenance to keep the gravel clean and the ammonia and nitrates at
0ppm and the nitrates at 0-20ppm

I've got this combination and it just doesn't work. When the plec was small
he got bullied by the goldfish, but now he's huge and attacks them - he has
to go. What's more he doesn't even keep the algae off the tank.
