Variety question

Are Goldfish best left alone in a tank or are there any other varieties I
can mix with them.
we have a tank which holds 54litres of water, we also have air pump, filter.
(also a light and heater which is not currently used).
This tank holds 2 goldfish, about 1 inch long. I cannot work out whow many
fish this tank can hold, I used the books but cannot do the math! :)
Its a very large looking tank and the 2 fish make it look very bare,
although they are both VERY happy. should I leave it as it is or should we
introduce some more gf or other variety?
What about creatures like snails as Ive heard people mention, where do you
get them, are they suitable for this set up, what do they eat?

54 Litres is approximately 14 US gallons. It is generally recommended that
goldfish need at least 10 gallons each so I really wouldn't add any more
tank mates unless you want to upgrade your tank.

Thanks for that, we thought we would just stick to having the 2 as they are
quite used to eaach oters company and its lovely seeing them have so much
space to themselves and they might not like having having new tank mates!

dont mix GF with other fish. For reasons do a google search in the rec.gf records.
