Hi,
i have been keeping lion head gold fish for almost a year. i have encounted
cases of fin rot but have always manage to salvage the situation by treating
them with those off the shelf fin rot solution from aquariums.
But just today, i have one fish who just turned bloody red in the whole head
and also suffering from fin rot. 2 of my other fish are also infected with
fin rot but their colour remain the same.
may i know what causes the change in colour and how to i go about treating
this syptom. and i would like to know what causes fin rot?
thank in advance.

I had a similar problem, and I thought it was fin-rot... It was actually
water quality. Have you tested your water for the basics (ammonia,
nitrAtes, phosphates, etc.)? Ammonia and nitrAtes would be the probable
culprits (I think) if you are seeing fin problems on your fish...
