Hi all - about a week ago I moved my betta into a 5 gallon tank where he alone
resides. This made him so happy he's covered half the surface with a bubble
nest. My question is...how do I clean it off without dumping out all the water?
Should I scoop with a net?

Why do you want to clean up the nest? It shows he's one h..... (ur)
happy fish.

When I told them what it was, my family was a bit grossed out I think. :D
I siphoned the tank using an air tube (a bit painstaking, but it works), and
found that it took the bubble nest out quite nicely. Just had to be careful not
to bring it above the surface for more than a second or two. Little "happy" boy
didn't look pleased, however.

All it is, is air bubbles made with water, air and saliva. It is a place to
keep the eggs- not fertilize them.
