I'd like to introduce an apple snail into my tank to eat all the
dead plant life. How do I go about doing so, do I need to quarantine
if so how long for, do I need to treat with anything?
Will my Moors eat it?
My snail knowledge is zero to be honest.

I don't know much about apple smails but recently I found one in my tank
after I bought some plants from the store. Unfortunately the snails have
multiplied at an incredible rate and now my tank is crawling with tons of
them. I'd be careful about introducing snails, if you buy one and it's
pregnant, watch out. There are also some diseases that snails may carry, not
sure how that affects the fish but do some reading up before you proceed.

One of my Fish actually eat the snails which keep their numbers down. I
also grow my own weed in an out door tank, it has snails in it as well which
grow and multiply at an amazing rate.
