I would like to know what kind and what wattage 4 foot fluorescent tubes
too use on my 75 gal. freshwater tank that I`m in the process of setting
up. There will be no live plants. TIA, Bud

regular wattage, but look for a grow light as the colors are nicer on teh fish than a
regular fluorescent bulb.

How about 2 50/50 N/O 50% day light 50% actinic? Bud
I`m not sure if the actinic would be of any use other then an algae
grower. My understanding is 2/1/2 watts per gal. I know there must be a
lot of lighting combos out there. I have no planes for live plants and
I`m having all tropical fish. Just not sure what lights to use. TIA,
Bud

If you are not growing plants, then get whatever looks good to your
eyes. But do not get more than 1 to 1 1/2 watts per gallon, or you will
simply be encouraging algae to grow more quickly.
