One of my bubble fish got his bubble caught in the filter and it tore it all
the way off. What if anything should I do now?

Keep the water REALLY, REALLY clean. Add aquarium salt, one teaspoon per
5 gallons per day for three days (to a total concentration of 3
teaspoons per 5 gallons).

Follow the instructions of whichever "vet" level poster recommends
specific meds.

One question that comes to my mind is why the fish was able to get
caught in the filter in the first place. Was something going on that it
was weaker than normal???

(As always, check ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH and temp).

put aquarium sponge over the filter intake so this doesnt happen again. clean water
and a little salt is all that can be done. the bubble will repair itself. Ingrid
