Hi there I purchased a Flexible Air Stone which looks like a length of
garden hose only when you attach it
to an aquarium pump and switch the pump on you get a wall of bubbles coming
from the stone

Well it appears to have died today I have 1 pump and a 3 way valve 2 solid
blue round stones and this flexible
one

I have disconnected the tubing attached to my blue stones and re connected
it to each one of the other valves
all 3 work just fine and send out a nice lot of bubble through both air
stones

Is there any thing I can do is it possible to locate which area of my
flexible air stone has the problem can any
thing at all be done to get it working again or will I need to go by a new
one reply soon sincerely Vikki

I have one of these flexible bubble wands too (not sure of brand). It ran
for 3 months and "died". I took it out of the tank and let it air dry for a
couple of days. Before putting it back into the tank I attached it to the
air line and turned the air pump on. Then I put it in the water. It
started pushing out a few bubbles and gradually over an hour or two
eventually worked like new.

Since then, I discovered that turning the air pump off with the flexible
wand in the water causes the bubble wand to "jam". Maybe water gets sucked
into the wand even though the airline itself has one of those backflow
stopper thingies. So now I let it air pump and bubble wand run constantly
even when I change the water and vaccuum the gravel.

Haven't had any problems since,
