The old thread was getting to long for my newsreader :- )

The fish is (obviously still recovering) but much, much better!

Her anal port is now normal (that happened almost over night) Fins are
up & scales down, and she's sleeping an awful lot. I put this down to
tank boredom. After live food yesterday (where I saw her darting
around like a good-un) I suspect she'd fair better in the other bigger
tank now.

I'm going to clean it up in a minute. Fortunately the poop is food
coloured, thick and broken easily. Some of the poop is still stringy
clear stuff, but I presume this is reabsorbed eggs!

- How long should I keep her in the tank before I lower the temperature.
- How long should I lower the temp for (over what period?)
- How can I prevent this happening again?

I intend to remove the catfish and put them in the small tank, which
will go in my room. Since the q.tank is 6g, I suspect it'll be big
enough for them for the time (they're about 0.5" long each). Would I be
safe adding a couple of tetras with a higher temp? I'll post this chunk
in tropical as wel...

Soooooo good to hear.....
keep her temp up for another couple weeks after the last of the thin stringy poops.
keep feeding antibiotic food for 2 weeks.
dont lower the temp much below 80o .. you got a girl, girls like it warm.
the minute you see her wobbling or head down or got a mushy belly run the temp back
up, put in the epsom salts and feed antibiotic food. good aeration of course.
