Hi All,
I've just started my first aquarium and have a couple of very young comets
and a common goldfish in a 10Gal tank with a Fluval 1+ internal filter.
I've noticed that after about 4 days I get a gradual build up of algae on
the glass and have been told to get myself an "algae scrubber" such as the
Hagen Algae Magnet
(http://www.hagen.com/uk/aquatic/product.cfm?CAT=1&SUBCAT=106&PROD_ID=010102
10030101)
How often can I clean the glass? Is it safe to clean it a couple of times a
week or should I allow at least a week's build up before cleaning?
I've also noticed that the fish rub up against the side of the tank and
leave streaks on the glass. Is this normal or are the fish in need of
something?
Thanks
