I've noticed this greenish transparent scum growing on my bogwood. Is
it dangerous? I'll take a pic if this isn't common

Sounds like algae? Green algae is good for your fish and their water.
Bogwood is a good place for it. If it gets excessive on your tank
walls, you can scrape/scrub it off.

Could well be algae, I always expected it to look different to this
almost film like substance. Its' standing proud about 1cm off the log
today. It's growing like wildfire!
