hi,
i'm from france, how can my GF lose many scales in one time?? are they gonna
grow back?

Scales will grow back eventually. Are just a couple of scales missing or
lots? He could have knocked a couple off but if there are lots missing there
could be something wrong.

about 10 in one time! maybe he was chased by the other GF or ancistrus?

If the catfish did that to him then they really shouldn't be together.
Have you checked your water quality? He could be flashing (scratching,
darting) and knocked the scales off in the process.How big is your tank?
If you haven't already, test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate so you know
how good.bad your water is. Losing 1 or 2 scales ever now and again is
normal, but to lose 10 means something sinister is going on.

mechanical damage or a sucker type fish in the tank or water quality is really bad
and this is bacterial rot. Ingrid
