Whether loach needs feeding?

I have a 20 gallon with 2 gfs and have just bought a Weather Loach.
Will he eat the brown algae that's around the tank or do I need some
bottom food? (The gfs eat floating flakes which he doesn't notice).
And if I do feed the loach will that discourage him from eating algae?
Do Weather Loaches eat any algae at all?

I've give him algae wafers and bottom feeder pellets alternately. I doubt
very much that he will eat any of your algae so he'll probably need feeding
once a day.

FYI, brown 'algae' is diatoms, not algae.
