Hi there,

I've had my goldfish for about 2 years... the eldest one has started to turn
black, I also have a beta fish, a few zebra fish and a swordtail fish...
none of these or the other goldfish seem to be turning black... Is it some
sort of fungi? or is it just changing colours??

Thanks very much
Leanne.

It could be just turning colour, but I would check for Ammonia, Nitrites and
Nitrates. Black can sometimes
be ammonia burns.

what are your water quality parameters, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH?
black is a sign of healing from ammonia burns.
