View Full Version : Oranda having trouble staying off tank bottom

Hello all,
My red and black oranda for the past week or so is usually floating
leisurely near the surface in the mornings. Today this oranda is
laying on the bottom, and must make an effort to get off the bottom.
I checked Ingrid's puregold site, but don't find this symptomology
listed. Otherwise fish seems normal, and tankmate is completely
normal.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Dennis

Don't worry
Orandas sometimes do this, my wife calls it "bottoming out"
Try feeding it a teat! Peas or better still a bit of prawn.
Then watch it move pretty quickly.

Thanks Bill ... sure enough ... after a little food it has behaved
normally all day. Apparently it just needed a reason to get moving
today ... sort of like me some days. ;-)
