New Dwarf Puffers by
axemanchris
Tonight I finally picked up a couple of Dwarf Puffer Fish. Although
apparently these ones are fresh water puffers, they were being kept in
brackish water at Petsmart, so they're in brackish water in their new home
too. When I was at another pet store a few weeks ago they had Green...

sick fish by
NetMax
I agree with Justin, however I think the nitrite spike tends to be longer
than the ammonia spike (the cases I've seen), and I'm not certain if
doing regular water changes would have any influence on the time it takes
for a tank to cycle. I think it takes very small amounts of NH3/4 and
NO2 for the...

skeletons in pleco tank by
SDB
Is there any benefit for leaving dead plecos in an aquarium that is
populated only by plecos? I'm just trying to figure out why on earth the LFS
would leave the corpses in there so long that they would be almost skeletal.
Like, imagine a couple of them died in their sleep, and were left to...

Butcher Block Countertop by
Dan White
Hi. I am putting a hard rock maple countertop in my deli. I found what
seems to be a good supplier that has good prices for unfinished 1.5"
countertops. I had a couple of questions/comments if anybody cares to lend
a hand.
First, here are the dimensions of what I need:
- 36" x 15 ft.
- 36" x 5...

RIP Tiger Barbs by
Flash Wilson
I have been keeping tiger barbs since 2001 when I chose some
to cycle my first tank.
Last night I had to put down the last one as he was very ill.
Goodbye, tiger barbs! Thank you for introducing me to the
hobby, for your funny little battle dances, and for your
feisty spirit!

Dying Blue Rams by
TYNK 7
Hello fishy folks.
I have a quandry that is making me both nuts and extremely sad every time they
croak.
I love Blue Rams. I've had them in the past.
However, the last pair I just had up and died. They were gorgeous, appeared
perfectly healthy and acted accordingly (I am well aware of the fact...

Product Enquiry: Eco Aqualizer by
blank
Does anyone know whether these contraptions actually work? Allegedly they
keep the tank water very clear, and require no cleaning. Sounds too good to
be true, but I am always willing to give up my doubts if enough people tell
me I'm too cautious. But giving up my money (AUD 120) is something...

Siamese Algae Eater / Platy Fry by
Mister Jerk
I am currenly still in the process of stocking my 38Gal tank and would
like to add a Siamese Algae Eater / Siamese Flying Fox. But I am
concerned that the 3 platy fry I have might be agressed. The fry are
about 4 months old, still small but starting to school with the other
platies.
Should I still...
