My plants need help...help! by
Larry
I need peoples' experience here otherwise it may take me millions of
test kits, thousands of possible unnecessary water changes and all
that neat stuff to turn my plants a healthier green.
I have a 26g fully planted gravel bottom tank. 56w high output light
and a diy CO2 dispenser. I do weekly...

Tank cleaner thingy by
Justice
ok I just got this tank cleaner, it has 2 scrub pads and a sqeege, The
head has 2 positions and one position locks by pushing up this tab wich
puts a pice of plastic as a stopper. The stopper part came off. My
question is what would be a safe glue type substance to use, silicone?

Cory Breeding Tank by
§tudz
Hi,
As some of you know, my Bronze Cory's have been laying eggs, I have had them
lay twice now, and both time lost the eggs to the other tank members and
fungus.
I now have some Meth Blue and also a small tank in which I can place the
breeding pair. I think the tank is between 10 and 5 gallon. I...

Fish in the Horse Trough by
Suzie-Q
I don't know if any of you will have an answer for me, but I told a
coworker that I'd ask you.
I live in central Texas where the summers get very hot -- often in the
100s (ºF). A few folks have told me that they keep some sort of fish in
their cattle and horse troughs (one said she buys the feeder...

dwarf Gourami by
Julie Meikle
Hi
My Dwarf Gourami had identical white sores on either side of his
body....just behind the gills & fin. He
was behaving normally, but they got bigger over a few days. Initially I
thought he
had scraped himself till I noticed it was on both sides.
They look like something trying to get...

29g Stocking Suggestions? by
[email protected]
I have a two year-old fully cycled 29g freshwater tank. The current
inhabitants are 4 Tiger Barbs, 2 Kribs and 4 cory's. Does anyone have
suggestions as to some new inhabitants (keeping in mind, I do already
have experience in fish keeping)? I was thinking about possibly going
with some of the...

Suggestions by
Klane
I have a 20 gal long with 6 Zebra Danio's and 7 Neon Tetras. I'm
looking for another fish, something colorful or at least interesting,
to put in with them. I have tried Dwarf Gouramis but have had very
little luck. Both have died, and I noticed that they did have nipped
fins, so something the...

Clown Loach with "skinnned" nose by
2pods
I noticed yesterday one of the downstairs clown loaches seems to have
skinned his nose.
It's not white or anything, just looks like an absence of colour.
The four of them were playing with an algae wafer ( looked like rugby ! )
just before I noticed it.
I hope that's all it is.......

strange sac under chin by
Sconad
hey there...
my severum has developed this strange sac-like thing under his chin...
he always had a bit of a scar there, but it never got any worse or
better...
then just this week it's like it blew up and bubbled out so now it's
kind of like a smaller version of those weird bubble things...

Air Line Deposits by

Can anyone tell me what keeps appearing on my airline tubing, it looks like
flaked food that has gone all soggy and as soon as you touch it it all comes
off making a mess inside the tank.
Thanks in advance

Algae on a "Corner 5" tank by
Dan White
Hi. I have one of those small plastic tanks and wanted to clean off the
algae without scratching the polycarbonate, acrylic, or whatever plastic the
tank is made out of. I tried wiping with my hand or a paper towel, but the
algae is stuck to strongly for that. Anyone ever use a Mr. Clean...

Who is nipping my betta's fins? by
Jan
About a week ago I put a betta into my 20 gallon comunity tank. Then, I
started noticing that then end of his tail is shredded. Now, most of
his fins are shorter than normal, and he has a few missing scales on
his side.
What is puzzling, is that I have never seen any fish bite him. The tank
is...

Condensation. by
hlessi
I got a new Sea Clear acrylic tank a few weeks ago, and I'm finding
that there's a lot condensation on the underside of the top. (For those
unfamiliar, the tank comes in one piece, the top cannot be removed, and
instead has smallish openings for therm, filter, etc. and a couple
larger openings...

I've got a 20 gallon planted tank with 8 red-eye tetras and seven
platies. I added five small (1/2") panda cories about 3-4 weeks ago.
One showed up dead a few days ago and another this morning. I've
checked them over under a magnifying glass and I see no spots, no
bites, no bloating, etc.. ...

Water Question by
RobGN
A buddy came over this evening and we started talking about fish after
he saw my tank. He asked me a question that I had never really put any
thought, and don't have an answer to either, other than to say that,
"It's not done that way." Here is his question: "Instead of going
through all the...
