Weird... by
Tony
I recently added two ice blue zebras to my aquarium. I came home a few
hours later and have noticed some kind of substance covering the
entire inside of my tank. It looks like little pinkish white lint...it
isn't ich, I've dealt with that before. I'm not sure what it is. I

Tanganyika Slide Show by
Amateur
I've put together a short slide show with a few of the pictures from my
Tanganyika trip.
It can be viewed at www.amateurcichlids.com/tanganyika/slide_show.shtml
I'll be making more slide shows in the future, hopefully better quality, larger
size with just fish.

African Cichlid Compatability by
Phil Bassett
Hi,
I am thinking of starting to keep Malawi cichlids in mt 36" tank. I have
been doing some research to see if the fish I currently have will be
compatible and have found that most of them are. The only concern I am left
with is the two Gourami I have (red dwarf & yellow) will be ok! Does...

Can I put wood in the tank ? by
Alan Silver
Hello,
I have seen people here say that you shouldn't put wood in a cichlid
tank as it will leach tannins. I have had a piece of mopani wood in
another tank for years. Would this still be leaching tannins into the
water ? Also, what harm would the tannins do ?
TIA

Slime Coat Products by
William Hardin
I have a new 44 gallon tank, and notice a strange haze in the water. I used
a product called "Stress coat", which is similar to "Novaqua", when I put
the water in. Does this product, which contains aloe vera in some form,
cloud the water in any way?
Thanks!

I picked up a collection of malawis from a specialist fish shop three

not putting on as much weight as his companions, two of which are the

I know I should have asked this in my other post (about pH adjuster),

Anyway, whilst looking at a bottle of (very expensive) pH adjuster in
the LFS, I saw that the instructions mentioned adding salt to the water.
Do I...
