I am comparing 4 different methods of maturing fish tanks and
comparing the amount of bacteria grown on the filter sponges. Tank 1
is a fishless cycle with nothing added. Distilled water (control tank)

Brand handbags by
[email protected]
Designer inspired brand handbags are essentially weak facsimiles of
high-profile designer bags. These brand handbags capture the basic
hardware and pocket placements, color schemes, and body styles of
designer goods while making no attempt to adopt the logo of brand
names. Hence, these brand...

Reminder, cycling? by
Cshenk
Hi, fairly experinced fish keeper here but reestablishing a 70gT tank after
6.5 years in storage. It's been ages since I had to start one over fresh.
I recall the process but not the time factor. No need for immediate answer,
the tank gets here in 4 days but we plan to fil it on the back porch...

Goldfish are much better, but by
Bill Stock
The largest fish has a pimple left over at the center of the original
infection. From what I have read this is Columnaris. Any thoughts on how to
treat this? So far they've had Kanamycin for the Columnaris and a long
treatment of Marycyn II for the Septicemia that followed. The Kanamycin
helped...

Women handbags by

Handbags for the rest of women
Although each style is different, several of your bags (the Annie, the
Gracie, and the Kathi) seem to be inspired by one of the most popular
women's handbag essentials -- the classic tote. What prompted you to
choose this type of design?
Compare prices for Women's...

Help! Climbing nitrites by
David L. Burkhead
When I did the last water change/test (test before change) I saw nitrites,
which had been at zero for nearly two months, at 0.5 ppm. This was
Saturday. I thought that maybe the biofilter had been not as effective
because the water was colder than previously (about 68) so I got a heater
and worked...

Listless Goldfish by
Bill Stock
The saga continues....
I treated some GF with Kanaplex for what I thought was Columnaris and the
Cottony patches subsided, but did not disappear. A few days later they
started to develop Septicemia and I thought I was going to lose the largest
fish. So I'm treating them with Marycyn II now and...

Fantials in Pond (Winter) by
nikflorida
I have a small goldfish pond in my backyard in central Florida (zone 9). I
have Ryukins, Koi, and Shabunkins. I know the koi will be fine in the Winter
(water temp probably won't get below about 40-45F at the coldest)... but what
about the ryukins and the shabunkins? Anything special I need to do...

Poll: How long will the big Sword plant survive with the big Goldfish by
Bill Stock
I've got a horrendous outbreak of BGA in my Goldfish tank. It's gotten so
bad it plugs the filter screens every week and now the sink drain is
plugged.
So I plucked the large Sword out of my office tank (20 G) and put in a bowl
of gravel in the GF tank. I'm hoping it's big enough to outgrow the...

Visible blood vessels in tail by
David L. Burkhead
When I got home from my recent business trip (1 week in Japan) and had the
energy to look at the fish in detail I noticed that Hoshi has a couple of
visible blood vessels in his caudal fin.
Hoshi is a sarasa comet, about 5" long, all white except for an orange spot
on his forehead. His activity...

Why Online Games are So Fun by

After working hard for my money, the least I could do is to have some
online fun. That's what motivates me to keep making money.
I mean supporting welfare parasites and fraudulent government's SSN
program is not exactly motivational. I'd rather deal with more
trustworthy and attractive...
