Reducing mulm by
Koi-Lo
Does anyone have a favorite product that actually works? I can't recall the
name of the last product I used but I know it was worthless and not cheap.
After the spring algae bloom there is often a mulm on the bottom of my ponds
that the filter isn't catching.

Best Koi foods - where and how much? by
Koi-Lo
Can anyone suggest the BEST koi foods with the least fillers? About how
much can one expect to pay for these feeds and where are they to be found?
I notice in my catalogs the ingredients are not listed. With 400 less koi
and GF to feed I may get them a bag.
What products are you using and which...

I just set up 2 ponds in my yard. A smaller that cascades into the bigger
( no idea what size they are, both were given to me). I'm using one pump to
move the water from the bigger tank to the smaller for the cascade. Before
it reaches the upper pond, it passes though a UV sterilizerthen...

Underwater Light by
Paul
I have a small pond and put in an underwater light last year(50W, Alpine).
It worked great for some months and then it stopped working. I went to
replace the bulb and found that water had leaked into its housing. What can
cause that? Is Alpine a defective product?
Thanks for any...

Pickerel problems by
Altum
I can't get pickerel weed to grow. I thought it was sturdy stuff. It
languished last year. I got a few stalks and a bloom but it wasn't
growing fast or well. I think I had it too deep, submerged about 8".
this year I moved it to about 5", and finally to where the water is at
its roots. It's...

Pump Replacement Recommendation by
TomW
Looking for advice on replacing my Aquascape 1500.
I want to keep the flow as close as possible to the 1500, a little less
would be OK. I've found pumps with a higher flow rate, but my setup is
already at the limit & I don't really want to use extra power & have to
add another discharge to dump...

Bloated bream may need your help by
Haymish Pupkin
Hello
We have 2 bream in our pond. One of the bream has bloated up like a balloon
and his scales are all sticking out like a pine cone. He/she also points his
head down at a 45degree angle and stays in the same place for ages. His/her
tail looks a bit raggy too.
I was hoping someone might be able...

Aquatic Compost by
David Sim
Hi
What are your thoughts on planting pond plants in standard garden clay. When
I dug the pond last year I had about 2ft of top soil and then straight into
clay.
I just fancied doing quite a lot of planting / transplating & wanted to
avoid the cost of buying a lot of compost from the pond...
