eheim filter support please by
John H.
My Eheim canister priming support is not sucking water, hard to press down
and very sloooow to come back up. Have to actually pull back up on that
primer button.
I have a little packet of grease that was included in the box but just where
to grease is a mystery. I'm leery of using this grease...

CO2, PH levels and fish by
Mark Newcomb
Maybe I missed a basic concept here - can someone explain this to me?

a KH of 2 and a PH of 8.
So, I add CO2 to 15ppm, which drops my PH to 6.6.
Now the question: Do I look for fish and plants that like a PH of 6.6,...

John van der Pflum

discus tank. Currently I have 5 discus in there with plans on three
or four more.
The problem I am running into is feeding them. I am feeding them a
beefheart mixture. I have been putting it on a small saucer in the
tank so that...

Why free-floating plant leaves can float on water? by
Z
For free-floating and floated-leaf plant, I know air is trapped and
density is lower than water.
People told me:" upper leaf surface is hydrophobic and unwettable (so
it floats); and lower surface is hydrophilic". Is that true? I want to
find books or papers to verifiy this.
Thanks a lot.

Problem with nitrite by
[email protected]
I established a ten gallon aquairum from Walmart with a Tetra 5-15
Power Filter.
I never clean the biowheel part and I never leave the filter unplugged
for more
than 1 minute while cleaning the tank.
At first I had gravel but food sifted into it causing the nitrite
