squiggly wormy id please by
Allyb
I just noticed some tiny little squiggly wormy thing swimming around my
tank. I think they're snail larvae, is this possible? I've recently
noticed tons of tiny snails in the tank too. Thanks!

WANTED Snails by
pcaillet
I have a freshwater puffer that needs snails to eat. He has eaten all
that my 75 gal tank had in it. If they are with in 25 miles of Rockwall
Texas, I am willing to pick up any unwanted snails or purchase them.

Looking for Cyperus helferi by

Looking for this plant. If someone knows of an online shop that sells
it or if a hobbyist would like to sell some at a reasonable price. I
just need a little to start growing it. I know its a slow-growing
plant and demands a good amount of CO2 and light.

Plant woes by
Ook
I have hornswort and frill in a 15 gal tank. Both plants just sit there,
they grew a lot at first, and then slowed down and now they are just sitting
and slowly turning yellow. Is this part of their normal life cycle? Is there
anything I can do that won't kill my neons that would help the plants...

Moving plants? by
Ook
I need to move some plants to another tank. They consist mostly of several
bulbed type lily plants, they ones you buy at Walmart or your LFS as dry
bulbs, and you drop them in the tank and they grow. The lilies grow like
crazy, and I have a dozen 3-4 inch lily leaves at the top of the tank....

Source of KNO3, K2SO4? by
Ross Vandegrift
Hello everyone,
I'm working on getting my algae under control, but have been
unable to find a source of KNO3 and K2SO4. I've heard that plant
fertilizers have these chemicals, but often contain other things that
make fishkeepers nervous. I checked the local science supply store but
they told me...

Subject line says it all ... what species of fish do well in / prefer
heavily-planted tanks? Mine is 29g, pH 6.8-7, GH 11. Only fish in
there right now are a few corydoras. Thanks!

trimming advice? by
Scott Far Thunder
Hau kolas..well my first foray into planted aquaria seems to be going pretty
well so far; just basic beginner plants. Several plants that have really
taken off, in particular "red ludwigia" and really need to be trimmed back.
So, as a general rule of thumb, where is the "ideal" location to...

When/how to plant baby swordplants by
Trapper
Hi folks,
One of my Amazon swords shot this stalk thingy up to the surface, and
along the length of this tendril are now found maybe 8 daughter
plants. There's also a leafy/flowery thing opening above the surface.
My question is when and how I should clip these daughter plants from
the stalk. ...

Advice - hornwort and frill by
Ook
I have 15 gal tank that is about 2 months old. Stable, water is clean, fish
happy. Java fern is nice and green. Lillys seem to grow good. However,
hornwort and frill will grow for a bit and then turn brown and die back. Is
this normal for this plant? I've grown hornwort before, and it grew like...

T-12 Reflector Design - FREE PLAN by
Greg G.
Greetings,
For those who might be interest in building their own reflectors, I am
offering this design based on a T-12 (1.5") fluorescent bulb.
Note that the overall width is 5.25" - something to keep in mind when
stuffing 6 tubes into a hood. ;-) This width is optimum for this
tube diameter,...
