One of my amano shrimp is pregnant :D by Empty

Parasites eating freshwater plants? by Daniel Morrow
I noticed one side of my aquarium having a large number of small 3 mm sized white worm looking creatures on it (maybe 1-2 mm in size, pretty small in other words), should I be concerned about them eating my plants? You may have noticed my previous post about my plants and already know my plants...

Roots in the Water Column by Nemo
All right, at first it was fun to watch. Now it is becoming an unsightly mess. All of the stem plants are growing roots in the water column outside the substrate. Is this something I have to learn to admire, or is there something that needs to be done I'm not doing? The ludwigia repens is doing...

No question, just comment. by Justin Cook
Dear gang - I have been keeping fish for as long as I can remember. Usually the 20g community that could move with me wherever I go. Now that I am "all grown up" my horizons have broadened. After much thought I knew that a planted aquarium was the only thing for me. I have kept live plants...

Many thanks by Keng
Thanks so much for all the input. I actually wanted to get a perspective from a fellow FW planted tank on what they thought about setting up a salt water tank. Anyways thanks again for all your input. I shall certainly check out those stores.

Terrestrial Plant Fertilizers for Aquarium by Nemo
Terrestrial Plant Fertilizers for Aquarium I gather an N-P-K ratio of 10-1-20 or 10-1-10 is desired in a planted aquarium. Most Terrestrial Plant Fertilizers have way too much phosphate. But how about the ones that don't like these two by Schultz (see links below). Would they be safe to use in a...

new tank question by BobWu
Hi folks, I planted my new tank last Friday. Friday and Saturday I saw a lot of "pearling" on glosso, but starting from Sunday, no more (not less, but absolutely nothing). I did not adjust lighting, or CO2 injecting (carbon plus running at 80%). Is it possible that my tank is running short of...
