I've finished building my pond (18'x18'x2'/attached to a 55' long 2' wide stream up to a waterfall at a grade 4 feet above the pond grade). There are so many pumps on the market. I do not know where to go. I do want a good flow of water to make the waterfall dramatic. Does anyone care to advise...

Koi White spot - Concern? by Basil Malithorne
Hello all, Been a long winter, but happy spring. Another winter has passed and my fish all survived it. One issue concerns me though is that one of my Koi has a white spot behind the top of his head. I vaguely recall reading about this condition here, but don't remember what to do about it, if...

Advice sought from Pond People by Peggy
Go to your local hardware store and buy a line level and a ball of string that does not stretch. You can suspend the line level on the string above the pond and find out just much you have to bring up the low side. Put a series of stakes around the pond higher than you know you need to go. ...

get rid of heron by Norm
We had the problem as well as having a Kingfisher using our pond for an easy feeding ground. Solved the problem by buying a Heron statue and placing it next to the pond. The thing to remember is to move it slightly every few days making the others think it's real.
