American Vole by Cynthia Donahey
Is there any reference to the American vole on the web. They are very small (about one ounce) and native to the northwestern part of North America. Does anyone have any in their pond? Does anyone know anything first hand about them?

winter feeding by Nick
When should I stop feeding my Gold fish? Everytime I walk past the pond, they surface and watch me, expecting food. At this time of year there can be very few flies, grubs etc for them to eat. I live in suburban London. The average air temp is around 10 to 12 deg C Nick

Hi all- I have a few questions about babies. All of my fish, cept two were small when I got them (this season), including tiny feeders. So I was surprised when earlier this summer I started seeing babies. I have about 15 of various sizes. The 'two' were some chunky Shubunkins that were 5-6...

I just recently built a 2000 gallon pond with concrete over liner. The pond has not been filled with water yet. However, the whole pond is lifted a few inches due to recent rain. Actually I am not sure if the pond is lifted or the soil on the side collapsed. If it is lifted by the water, I don't...

Distressed Goldfish by Bill Oertell
Early this morning one of our fantail goldfish was entangled in some string algae. When I fished him out of the pond, I thought he was dead until he twitched a little in the net. I put him back in the pond and tried to push him around a little to get water to flow through his gills, but he wasn't...

Bubbler Socks? by Bill Stock
I noticed that my bubbler is struggling to bubble as it gets colder. I imagine it will fail, when the real cold gets here. I've seen a few of you talk about keeping your bubbler inside, but then the condensation builds up in the long airline. My bubbler only has about 16" of airline attached to it....
