UK plants sought by
Misty
Can anybody supply me with two plants I am seeking for my pond?
Firstly a water soldier - a native or hardy one and not one sold at an
aquatic centre grown under tropical conditions!
Secondly an aquatic plant that grows in and out of the water and looks like
a feathery pine tree?
Willing to...

My Favorite Lilies (pics) by
Go Fig
I'm with Monet, water lilies are simply stunning. I can't paint at
all, but I did just get a new Dig Camera and what better subject to try
it out on then Water Lilies. I need some more practise and a
polarizing filter... but these are a start.
I OK with Hardy lilies, but I love my Tropicals. ...

OT - Waterproofing flowerbox by
William Share
I built an octagonal flower box with a raised bottom to sit on top of my
inground filter to conceal it. I then placed my Fido Electric Fence
controller inside the box. The plan is/was to put an insert inside the
remaining space to plant flowers and conceal the Fido box.
The box has been sitting...

We were enjoying the fire pit out by my pond, and now I am wondering what to do
with the ash in the bottom of the pit. Can I toss it in the flower garden?
Should I put it into the compost area? Will it make a suitable mulch or will
it kill the flowers.......hmmmmm....sure was a nice fire...It was...

Watercrest and Cilantro by
Ron, KC4YOY
I finally found some Watercress and Cilantro at
a new grocery store today.
What's the best way to get it to grow in my veggie
filter and pond?
I now have it just floating loose in the filter,
should I plant it in baskets with pea gravel
or just let it float?

Question about TETRA PRF 1500-2500 pressure filter. by
steve
I am thinking about adding another filter to my pond. I have a Tetra
PF-3. The PRF 1500-2500 models are pressurized and they say you can
back flush em. Does the backflush work well? It looks like a pretty
big canister filter and those are a pain to break open and clean out
all the time. I remember...

I am trying to find a nice poster of koi which identifies the
different kinds. Something I can frame. I've done the usual Google
searches, but haven't found what I'm looking for. Perhaps I've
dreamed up the poster in my mind and now expect to find it somewhere.

Going Green....AGAIN!!! by
The~Doofie~Man©
Okay I added a lot of plants & cover a few weeks ago. That cleaned most of
the green out pretty good. I also made the waterfall hit the pond a little
harder for better aeration.
Earlier this week we had a massive rain/hail storm here in Ontario. A lot of
muddy run off got into the pond. In fact I...

Salt and tadpoles (and a long explanation) by
Rodney Pont
I've Googled but can't find anything specific so does anyone know if
salt at up to 0.3% will harm tadpoles?
We have been fighting something since last year and nothing much seems
to help.
It's a 700US gallon pond and had 25 goldfish, up to about 6inches long,
and a large green tench. During last...
