12v Air pumps by
groovy
Can anyone recommend a good 12v air pump, preferably in the UK,
that draws around 4 watts? It needs to be safe outdoors, but will be
in a nice plastic box to protect it from the elements.

Question about TETRA PRF 1500-2500 pressure filter. by
steve
I am thinking about adding another filter to my pond. I have a Tetra
PF-3. The PRF 1500-2500 models are pressurized and they say you can
back flush em. Does the backflush work well? It looks like a pretty
big canister filter and those are a pain to break open and clean out
all the time. I remember...

pondless waterfall by
mark
Does anyone know how to build one of the pondless waterfalls or know
where I can get plans for one? I have only seen pictures at various
web sites. Also is there a good site that tells how to make a
waterfall with a pond, I am just looking at my options.

Moving pH by
Benign Vanilla
What do y'all use to move your pH up? Down? I am at a bit high, and want to
try and bring it down a bit. I am beginning to wonder if my high pH is
helping my algae soup.

Dogs vs Pond by
John Howard, Jr.
My wife and I have two dogs that we love dearly. We just bought a
house that has a pond. Unfortunately, there's a leak in it and the
pump is burnt out so it's been sitting there growing mosquitos for
some time now. Our dogs got in it the other day and decided that the
liner tasted pretty good. ...

Terminix vs Pond advice plz by
Carl Beyer
Looking for some advice.
The S.O. is bug-ophobic. I personally do not mind bugs... I have
carpenter bees and Black Widows that live on the property and I do not
make efforts to get rid of them...
But, the S.O. wants to get some bug control going because of her fears.
She had Terminix in her...

How deep is too deep? by
Andrew Burgess
I'm enlarging my pond, going from about 6' x 6' x 3' to
something like 10' x 15'. I thought I go 5' deep this time
but now I'm wondering if 7 or 8 feet is "too deep". Does anyone
have a pond this deep or deeper and do you regret it? Digging
will be more of a chore but you only have to do it once...

Patching torn Butyl rubber liner? by
Dave Bell
I have a large chunk torn out of the side of my pond (dog went nuts?) that
I need to patch. The liner is 45-mil butyl rubber, and I have plenty of
material for a patch. But what's the concensus on patching cements or
tapes, and what's the best way to accomplish it? I was looking at The
Pondshop,...

PH Problem by
rob
Hi,
I just finished my new pond in the spring. EPDM liner, 12 x 10 x 4'6".
I added plants which are doing well and my kids wanted some fish. I want to
put Koi in the pond.
I did some reading and realized that 0.1% salt in the pond was the first
thing to do since my PH was fine.
