Repotting Helvola? by
G-Hoch
I have a Yellow Canary Helvola in my 50 gallon pond, and it usually
covers the surface in the summer, and the blossoms are beautiful. I
have been repotting it every year, but I have not done so this year
because it actually had several leaves all winter long. My questions
is should I re-pot it...

EPDM pond liner.. best pricing?? by
Gareee©
Is it cheaper to buy it online with shipping, or better to pick it up at the
local lowe's, home depot, ect?
The price Lowe's gave me was .40 a sq foot, and they only carry it in
varying sizes.
When we looked at it, the epdm roofing material was actually more expensive
then the prepackaged pond...

update-stupid pond questions by
k conover
Thanks for those of you that responded to my pond-cleaning questions.
After deciding not to invest in a shop-vac (and getting very negative
responses from tool rental places when I told them what I wanted to do with
THEIR shop-vac), and went out and bought a pair of hip wader boots at the
Army/Navy...

Lotus Repotted by
Benign Vanilla
OK, you know me...I can't sit and not mess with the pond. Last night it was
nice and warm out. I put on some shorts, and an old T-shirt and went digging
for my lotus. The tubors were in 4 inches of mud that I planted, as well as
a nice layer of elephant scented mulm.
These lotus were planted in a...

mysterious small weed vs. Water Lily by
Nicola B
Hi all,
wonder if you can help solve a mystery -
My pot pond is a couple of months old, roughly. Full details of pond at
bottom of post. After I had my 'pot-pond' set up for about a month or so, a
tiny cluster of leaves appeared floating on the surface. Three tiny green
leaves. Then they started...

anacharis by
pete
Does anacharis have to be potted, or can it simply be weighted with lead
weights and dispersed in the bottom of the pond? My pond is small - 250
gallons, with a shallow end and a deeper end. Thanks in advance for the
info.

Marsh Marigolds follow-up by

Hi Again,
Well, after a few days with no response from the group, I figured nobody out

them as I would a hosta and it worked out well. So...
If anyone is looking to divide a marsh marigold, simply take it out of the
pot,...

Fish buoyancy by
Scott
Does anyone here know what causes a fish to loose it's buoyancy? Kinda
wobbles and floats tail up. I have a friend who has a shebunkin that's
doing this. Any advice on saving the fish is welcome.

Best Lights for a Koi Pond by
Trevor
Hi
I am just about to assist my friend in building a 12 000 litre koi pond.
It will be made from cement blocks and rendered in waterproofed plaster
and finally fibreglassed.
So the lights will be incorporated into the walls during construction.
Are there any particular lamp types that provide...

Black sealant for indoor ponds by
NetMax
I've seen above-ground indoor pond/waterfall constructions made entirely
with natural stones (dressed stones for the pond perimeter and rough
stones for the waterfall). The stones were held together by something
the colour of cement (sand mix perhaps), but the pond interior was coated
in a thick...

marginals by
J.D. Stone
Anyone have any recommendations for normal potted plants (like available at
home depot) that would work good as marginals (shallow, always wet, not too
tall)? Trying a new bog filter type and looking for plants, now.

fish condition by
NewbieBill
I feel compelled to post again before the 'turnaround' time is
complete. Hoping maybe someone can see a pattern. I am still
watching my ph and I think it is stablizing around the 7.8-8.4 mark
throughout the day. Some of the fish are cause for concern. Pretty
sure the koi is getting worse. ...
