Building a paddle boat dock by Sam Hopkins
Hi Everyone, This year I wanted to put a dock on my pond for my paddle boat. I was going to buy one of those prefab ones but then I thought, where's the fun at! Does anyone know even where I should begin? It would have to be at least 12' long and 3-4' wide.

Leaky Bio Clear 5 Filter by Amanda Galiano
Anyone have experience with this filter? I'm very disappointed with it. The dealer told me it was the only thing they used on all their clear, beautiful ponds and I got one and a lot larger pump. Not only is it leaking, my pond was clearer when I was just using a Pondmaster AND I actually had...

Nymphaea lotus low temperature by Charles
I've done the web search and it looks like everybody read the same book regarding this plant, but didn't tell me what I wanted to know. What is the temperature that the plant will survive in a dormant state to recover when the water warms again? -- - Charles - -does not play well with others

tubing blowing off pump by k conover
There must be something I'm missing on my pump--the hose keeps blowing off the place where it's attached to the pump from the force of the water--is there something I can buy to make the fit tighter? Kirsten (with numb hands from sticking in almost frozen pond to try to fix this problem!)

Frogs/Toads info sites by Lee B.
In trying to recreate some of my lost links, I found these for froggy fiends .. . . http://www.nwf.org/frogwatchUSA/frogs_state.cfm Click on your state and all the froggies that are known to "haunt" your local will come up, complete with "calls". It was great fun listening to all the calls and...

Ka30P (or some other "bookmark" fiend) by Lee B.
Once upon a time last year you posted a link to a site that had a "flow chart" to identify pond critters . . . it was something like "is it smooth or segmented"? "3 segments or 5" etc., etc., etc. It finally narrowed down the culprit. Very cool site. Well, as you have probably guessed, I lost...

I just replumbed my entire house with copper, and I have some left over. I am thinking about building a DIY filter for my aquarium, just for fun. Any thoughts on the safety of using copper in an aquaria environment? I figure it safe for us to drink, it should be safe in the tank or pond for...

Fish Varieties? by BenignVanilla
OK, winter topic...discussed over and over every year...if you can't take redundancy, go away...otherwise let's discuss. My aquarium has a variety of fish, which makes it fun to watch. I wanna to the same with my Koi/GF pond. What other varieties of fish are good for a pond, and of those types...

Disguising Waterfall Mound by Broomhilda
