Coolant Temp Sensor by
JJ
I have a '95 SL2 with two coolant temp sensors.
One is mounted to the engine block (I assume this is the one for the gauge)
The other is mounted in the coolant reservoir tank. ( I assume this is the
one for the aux. fan to turn on)
Am I correct?
If not what is the function of the one mounted in...

Alleged Microsoft e-mail by
pixi
For what it is worth (and to me, a lot), I wrote an e-mail to my server and
asked if there was some way they could put a stop to that particular type of
e-mail. I was getting dozens of them every day.
So, today I had only one and no spam at all. Can't believe it.
Hope this helps someone...

Opinion on a Pump/Filter Combo by
larryw591
I want to improve the pump and filtering system of my 3500 gallon pond. I
have been looking at the Aquabead system. My current system calls for me to
remove a couple of charcoal bags and rinse them several times a week. With
the Aquabead system the pump and everything is above ground and all you...

Baby GF by
Heather
I have been jealous all summer while I read post after post about baby GF.
I looked and looked and didn't see any despite seeing action between the 5"
GF. Yesterday while scooping out leaves I scooped a baby GF about an 1 1/4"
long. He looked dead. Oh well. There are maybe more. Turns out he...

Hurricane Isabelle by
RichToyBox
Though I did not have any physical damage by the hurricane, and was without
power (except generator) for a week, the high winds took the tall plants,
thalia, taro, and cannas and threw them into the pond along with lots of
leaves and pine needles. It was about Monday after the hurricane that...

Chocolate Cichlid by
Bob in PA
Hi,
Anybody out in the south eastern PA region interested in a medium
sized male chocolate cichlid, free of charge? He has finally grown too
large for me, and I can't put in any fish in the 55g he's in because they
become lunch. He's between 5"-6", color ranges from very light brown to
almost...

My baby, approx. 14 to 15" koi, has outgrown it's home. No room to
build it a new one. Same mistake many new ponders' make. No
excuses!!!!
It is still healthy and happy and eats from my hand, but I feel
like I'm keeping a goldfish in a teacup.
Anyone in central New Jersey who can prove they have...

Deer & Parrotfeather? by
Anne Lurie
Would deer go for parrotfeather?
Yesterday, when I noticed that much of the parrotfeather (1 plant in a pot
on bottom of teeny water garden) was suddenly draped over the edge of the
water garden.
I figured the dogs had been fooling around, possibly while retrieving a
tennis ball (where else would...

'Veggie' Filter by
Dave Hahn
I need some information on what a 'veggie filter' should be. Some say that
the surface area should be 10 - 20% of your pond. Others say that it should
be 10 - 20% of the pond volume. Which is correct.
Also some say not to use lava rocks, others say it's okay.
What about water flow? How many gph...

heron by
BA PATSFAN
will the plastic bird netting with 1" squares actually keep the heron out? Is
it strong enough? And will the heron stop coming if the pond is netted? Can I
just put the net about 4" above the water and get it taunt by placing rocks on
it? Also I put 4" black pipe in the pond but had to put rocks...

Bereft of life it now wings it's way along the British sewer system

Hi all!
Just wanted to say hello and share a happy day.
Today was my daughter's christening ceremony at the church and reception at

renewness.
Then the reception at home. Many exciting things took place, one that is

Please think about covering your pond! by
Brad Stamm
Each fall I post this recommendation. Please consider covering your pond if
it is less than 5000-10,000 gallons and freezes over. Small ponds with many
fish may not freeze if they are 4 ft. deep but your fish will be very
stressed in the spring. Each year our local pond friends have several...
