Heron Attack!! by
TC
I thought that I had figured out a way to discourage the heron from
visiting. I put up a fake heron. I put in a duck. I stretched fishing line
over the top of the pond and around the pond.
The heron came straight down from a nearby tree and landed next to the pond.
Then stepped through the fishing...

OT whats going on? by
Anne Lurie
Back in the Dec. 2002 ice storm, our power was out for about 26 hours, as I
recall (I've tried to repress the memory). We had phone service for about
24 hours, but apparently there's something in BellSouth's local equipment
that has only a certain "life" without power. What did the phone...

Green water????? by
Bob Knight
We recently began our pond by digging a J shaped whole that's about 2.5 feet
at the deepest point. The rim of the whole pond is reinforced with 2x2
wooden stakes, driven into the ground to ground level and then lined with
rubber garden edging. A 20x22 liner was put into place and now we were...

Planning is nearly done & what it looks like I'll be building are two ponds.
One will be a raised rectangualr pond - about 800-850 UK Gallons (just over

about the same size. The Raised pond will be about 3'6" deep & will be...

filter media question by

I would think it will plug up pretty fast?
Gale :~)
Has anyone ever used weed block fabric for filter media or can think
of any problems with using it? I'm thinking of using it for a final
stage filtering.
